The eye passed over us last night, with winds sustained at 121mph and gusts up to 150mph. These winds were lower than the projected, which were projected to be sustained at 150mph with gusts up to 175mph+.
We, thankfully, had our power the whole time. It makes up for last year's August typhoon, Muifa, when we went without for 5 days (awful). We all slept through the typhoon last night, except Evelyn who woke up fitfully a couple times, asking for a "sip" (drink).
The rain as I write this, at 1:00pm, is heavy but the winds have died down in our area. Lots of people on various Facbeook websites are questioning the "Recovery" update but who knows. It isn't my job to call the statuses, and for that, I am thankful.
Below is a photo that I borrowed from the Commander Fleet Okinawa's Facebook page. We're all fine and dandy here -- no damage to our property, hoping that damage to everyone else's is very minimal. At estimated 75,000 are without power at this time.
Thank you everyone for the prayers and good thoughts! I'll share more photos (and some video) of our "during" stage, and will get some after shots when the rain clears.

Just found your blog. So glad to hear you're okay--and with power too! Such a scary thing to have to go through, but sounds like it all worked out just fine!
