Neo park.

Yesterday Evelyn and I accompanied Jess and her family up to Neo Park in Nago. Dan had his fair share of homework so he didn't come along.

I had never been to Neo Park before, but it was fun. It is a little zoo up in Nago that has a petting zoo area, and a train that takes you around the park. We took the train when we first got there, and the kids really seemed to enjoy it.

After the train, we went to go feed the birds. Evelyn was very interested in the birds - she hopped up and down a few times to try to get their attention. They paid absolutely no attention to her as she wasn't the one with the food.

After feeding the birds, we walked around the park. She was very interested in the pony (thatta girl!) but I wasn't going to pay ¥500 for a pony ride. At one point, we were walking through an area where a bird started walking to her. Man, I wish I could've got it on video. She was fine with a whole flock of birds at the beginning of the park, but this one little bird was her new-found enemy.  She stopped moving as soon as she saw it heading towards her, said "NO!" and tried turning around. Walking on the opposite side of me seemed to help her bird-phobia.

I think Evelyn's favorite part of Neo park was the gift shops. We went into at least three and there was plenty within her reach to grab onto. As I was paying for her little Okinawan wild board stuffed animal, she grabbed the big version and wanted that one too. No no, sorry little lady. She carried Ryukyu around the rest of the day.

Wondering what an Okinawan wild boar" looks like? Well, here, let me show you. This is a photo I found from Googling "Okinawan wild boar". It is a dog that is at Neo Park who adopted a little baby boar. Aww.
