Scenes from my birthday bash.

Yesterday, my great friends Jess and Amber threw me a little birthday shindig at Jess' house. We had a quesadilla bar (Jess makes the best quesadillas), followed by some puppy snuggling, and then birthday cake.

We all wore our tie-dye tshirts that we made this spring while Dan was gone. Both guys (Dan and Jess' husband) said they wouldn't come, or would just leave, if they had to wear tie-dye. Good thing we didn't actually make them shirts - I had Dan convinced we made him one.

Yesterday morning we celebrated June birthdays with SWO (Stroller Warriors Okinawa) after our run at  Comprehensive Park. It was a good thing I had a small piece of cake then because the cake J & A made was humongous.

Evelyn saw Jess pour a glass of milk and decided she needed some. Unfortunately when she reached for it off the counter, most of it landed on her face, and not in her mouth.

I had a three day birthday celebration. Dan gave me my gift a day early. At first, he had me convinced he had got me a treadmill. It wasn't a treadmill, though. ;) On my actual birthday we lounged around the house a bit while I did some homework, then went to Kadena Marina to try out the new surf board. I was too much of a chicken to paddle all they way out to the reef break, but Dan made it out there and had lots of fun. For my birthday dinner, we ate at Naps ... my favorite American restaurant on island.

The pictures from my actual birthday will be uploaded soon - I have to email them from my iPad to my computer, save them, and then upload them. I seem to have misplaced my card reader that fits into a USB port, so I have to use the card reader that works with my iPad. If my blogging app was working, it'd make this whole process a lot easier.
