A little lady and her dog: Part I.

When Evelyn was younger, Toby was very wary of her. I can't speak dog but I assume he was nervous because he had never been around a crawling baby - or around anything smaller than him, much less a small human. Now that she is walking around, he isn't as leery as her.

In fact, they are starting to have the relationship I hoped they would be from the start. It is always so cute to see little kids with "their" dogs, and Evelyn really is happy to have her Toby. She has a few different variations of his name - Dado, Dadoo, Dodo. She really likes to take him for walks and this morning she laid down next to him on the floor while I piddled around in the kitchen.
