The mud run was the day before Easter, so this is belated. Oops! Better late than never.
This was my first mud run experience and it was
so much fun. I cannot wait to do more mud runs when we are in the United States. My only complaints were that it was advertised as a 10k and there weren't as many obstacles as I was expecting.
However, the amount of obstacles that were present were probably okay for my first mud run, considering I was 15 or 16 weeks pregnant at the time.
The run was advertised as 10k but it was listed as a 8k on the map at the site of the race. Many people said their GPS watches clocked it at 4.something miles, or close to 5. Going across the finish line though, I was very excited because I thought I PRed (hit a personal record) on a 10k. I thought, "
Wow! I PRed on a 10k
with mud and obstacles,
and I was pregnant. I AM AWESOME!" I should've known it was a bit too good to be true, haha.
There were two walls that weren't too high but as a team, we made it over them. After the run, I discovered I was the only pregnant Stroller Warrior that chose to do the walls. I felt kind of dumb afterwards, but oh well. I helped hoist one teammate up, then that teammate helped pull me up while the third teammate hoisted me up from below. It was fun, and we stayed safe.
Here are some photos from the run. Some are from other Stroller Warriors, and a couple were taken by other people. They are a little out of order, but the captions should make them easier to follow.

| After "muscle shot". |
 |
| My, "YAY I made it! face" during the hardest climb (for me). |
 |
| Almost to the top of the hardest climb. |
 |
| This was the 1/2 way point. Isn't it beautiful? I felt like we were in a scene from LOST. |
 |
| Nice and clean...before, obviously. ;) |
