Last week, we were leaving Coco's Curry on 23 when this short conversation ensued:
Evelyn: Tai! Tai! Taiiiii!
Jess: You want Thai? We just had curry!
Evelyn: YEAHHHHHHH! Tai!
Backstory: Evelyn is o-b-s-e-s-s-e-d with their Oki-mix, Katai. She has shortened his name to "Tai" and asks for him multiple times a day, especially if we are on one of the many routes to their house. Jess was being feisty and joked around with her, which was hilarious to us. It didn't matter to Evelyn that Jess was goofing around with her because we did end up back at Jess' house and Evelyn was reunited with her beloved Tai.
