After your baby turns twelve months old, they are technically called toddlers. I guess. I don't know, I still call Evelyn a baby as I think "toddler" is far too old sounding. She's still our baby, y'know? Now, though, the word has a whole new meaning. She really is a toddler because...
...she is toddling around! You read it right, she is walking. She hasn't perfected it yet but she definitely realized she has the capacity to be on two feet instead of crawling around. She walked approximately five feet to me from a chair, and then back to the chair, plus toddled / waddled her way across the living room to my sister tonight.
That is our latest, most exciting news. OH - other news that all our family knows but hasn't officially been announced in the blogosphere: she got her first tooth! One of my best friends, Wiki (Jenny), thought it was so funny how she was 13mo with no teeth. She started working on this first tooth the same week that Wiki's youngest daughter (6mo) popped her first tooth.
I think she's working on more teeth but only time will tell. You can see the tooth now when she smiles and you can feel it, especially if she bites you...like she did to my nose the other night. Yeah, ouch - not cool.
