A beary special 9 month old.

Just to warn you, the viewer, Evelyn was not in the mood for smiling pretty at the camera. She also was not a fan of sitting in the rocking chair nor was she happy she had to sit by a teddy bear. The only things that somewhat subdued her irritability was my hat and the lens to the camera. Even those failed to work in the end.

At her 9 month well baby visit she weighed 20.7 pounds and was 28.3 inches long. I may be off on the tenths of the pound and inch, I don't have the sheet right in front of me. She's down from the 90th percentile to the high 80s.

In a list format this month instead of paragraphs...

She:

• crawls
• pulls up on e-v-e-r-y-t-h-i-n-g 
• walks along coffee table and anywhere else she pulls up, sometimes one handedly
• has tried to stand with no hands but was not successful
• Makes the stereotypical Native American noise with her hand and mouth
• tries to eat any and all paper
• prefers small bits of our food over purees
• still nurses
• enjoys paging through her books by herself
• being read to
• makes a silly, cheesy face -- squints her eyes and scrunches her nose
• has started throwing food over the edge of her high chair when she's finished
• in 9mo clothes
• sleeping in her crib and sometimes sleeps through the night, otherwise usually only wakes once.

Hopefully she is much happier for her 10 month pictures ... which seem to be right around the corner, YIKES. I swear I didn't subject her to this form of torture long -- it was probably less than five minutes and then I swooped in to save her from her own grumpiness.
