Wow...Ev's seventh month was a busy one. On my birthday she pulled herself up on the coffee table for the first time. Unfortunately I missed it as I was off getting the mail.
She continued her army crawling and began getting up on her hands and knees. She'd rock for a little bit then pop back down on her bottom and decide to army crawl wherever she needed to go.
We now have to shut all the doors downstairs, especially the shower room door and the bathroom door. She is obsessed with the drains in each room. We also have to barricade the entryway because she's drawn to the cool ceramic floor. We went to base to buy baby gates and they (of course) didn't have any.
She's still toothless and that may or may not change soon.
To be frank, her sleeping habits suck right now. She's up multiple times a night though I've read that this is common when they are reaching new milestones. She's been learning and doing so many new things that no wonder she's up 4x a night. Sleep is for the birds -- she'd rather stay up and see what is going on lest she miss anything than take a nap. She takes two naps a day that are usually 30-45 minutes, sometimes longer if I'm lucky.
She's wearing 6-9 month clothes but the pants are getting a bit short. My Mom brought a couple pair of jams with her and we've had to cut the toes out of them to prolong their lifespan - haha. Unfortunately the BX's baby clothing section doesn't have much so I'll have to order it.
She's begun saying "Mamamama" again and also says "Momomomom". Dan wants that to count as her first word though I'm not certain she knows that I = mom. She is a big Mama's girl but I don't think that's my name, yet. It is just what she knows how to say. "Babababa" too.
Her hair is coming in and looks less dark than before. It is a strawberry blond right now and I love watching it blow in the wind.
"So big" was a pretty big deal during her seventh month though she hasn't been doing it as much so far during her eighth month.
She knows the sound of a call coming on on Skype and also is very aware of the noise Skype makes when we're calling out. It gets her attention really fast - it's so cute.
During her seventh month she completed her first swimming lesson level and has a cute little certificate to prove it. I know, I know -- I still need to put photos up from her lessons. I will get around to it. She is a fish and really loves the water. It was also the first time she had sat in a pool floaty and she really enjoyed it.
We'll be back all too soon for her next beary special monthly update. It seems like time keeps getting faster the older she gets. Oofta.
