Our weekend, in pluses and minuses.

Quick note: Plus and minus look mighty strange in plural form. I approached Prof. Google about the correct form / spelling but he is not always accurate. Anyone? Is it pluses? Plusses?

+ Dan came home early on Friday. He actually scared the bananas out of me because while I hears Toby barking, I didn't hear the carport door opening. The next thing I hear is the sliding door opening and I am freaking myself out, thinking the gas man was breaking into our house.
+ We cannot distinguish a taste difference between ground beef and ground turkey. I was personally concerned about this but we are consumers of ground turkey from here on out. Except hamburgers, those will still be beef.
+ Dexter marathons.
+ Evelyn. Duh. I shouldn't even include her on the list but she just is blossoming into this little gem with her own distinct personality and she makes us extremely happen. She's more like a plus-plus-plus^infinity.
+ Buying a pooper-scooper for the yard. No longer have to grab the yuck-factor with our hands even if they are protected with a glove and a plastic bag.
+ Great ground-turkey burritos on Saturday. Mmmm.
+ Bilingual church service on the first Sunday of every month.
+ Beautiful, rain-free Saturday and Sunday.
+ Skyping with our families.
+ Family walk / adventure on Saturday.
+ Fun-filled Sunday with lots of shopping.


Two positives and negatives:
+ / - Epic candy binge on my part during Friday night's Dex sesh. Oofta. A positive because it tasted so good, at first...also a negative because then I felt slightly sick and also guilty because I eat far too much sugar. I need to be more concerned about the risks of too much sugar (aka diabetes) than I need to be worrying how I can fit it into my daily menu.
+ / - We bought another MagicJack. A positive because if it works better than the last one, we can have more phone conversations with family and friends instead of needng to be near a computer for Skype. A negative because it is the 2nd one we've bought and it would've been great if the first one was still serviceable. Oh well, we think it was user error that ultimately screw up the service.

- Ev got scared silly by a backhoe in action on Saturday's walk. She stuck out her bottom lip and everything before the actual crying began. Poor little petunia.
- Dan cut his hand while opening the MagicJack. We debated going to the ER for stitches but he ultimately decided against it.
- Dan is missing the SuperBowl. Central time back in the States equates to us being 13 hours ahead so the SuperBowl (which will be airing on AFN) is during our Monday morning. I couldn't care less about it (gasp); the last SuperBowl I watched was when J.T. ripped Janet Jackson's outfit and her boob was right there for everyone to see.
- The weekend is over. Already.
