Ev and I are sitting in the corner of the couch relaxing until it is time to Skype with one of my greatest friends. She fell asleep after her mid-morning snack as she usually does. I look down and see the cutest contemplative face I have ever seen in my life.
Immediately my mind jumps to needing to find a way to capture this little moment forever. My camera is on the opposite end of the couch and the memory card is in the memory card reader. Dang, can't get to it without moving Miss E. A-ha, my phone! Where's my phone? Not within an arm's reach.
So I pause and decide that it just must be a moment made just for me; one I can put in the back of my mind for rainy days or when I just need a pick-me-up. Not everything has to be documented in photos or videos - some moments are meant to be stored in your memory, a special keepsake.
