February is "I Love to Read" month.

I was one of the few kids in my elementary classes that enjoyed the extra allotted time for reading in February which was dubbed "I Love to Read" month. Reading instead of math? Um...yes please!

My love for books carried into junior high where I was threatened with detention if I didn't pull out the Thoroughbred series book out from under the desk during my math class. Do you see a recurring pattern? Reading > math.

Anyway, I still love books. Still hate math. That's not the point, though... February is a great month because it is "I Love to Read" month!"

What we're reading at our house this month...

Three of the books featured above were extra-curricular reading for a course that Dan was taking. "The Hunger Games" is mine. I've started it but have only managed a page or two before someone needs me.
Who doesn't love magazines?

This is how I've been doing most of my reading lately, if I am able to indulge in any.

Below are two pictures of Ev posing with her bedtime book, Little House on the Prairie. At nighttime I like to read her longer books that aren't picture-oriented because I read while she nurses. She usually looks around when I'm reading a children's book to her so I figure I'll get some heavier reading in at nighttime.
