Today.

Today was a pretty great day...hopefully I will find a chance to elaborate another time but until then a bulleted list will suffice. We:

- toured at Mihara Riding Club, where Eve (an instructor) complimented Evelyn on her pretty blue eyes. It was Ev's first time at a barn (while outside of the womb) and she cried when it was time to leave. She loves it already!
- enjoyed paninis and grande Irish Cream fraps for lunch and bought some Girl Scout cookies from a local troop. (Whatever, Girl Scouts of America -- your "peanut butter patties" will always be known to me as Tagalongs. And the ones with coconut? Samoas!!)
- returned two overdue library books and got a few more. Dan got some and Little Miss checked out her first library books as well. One is a Japanese / English picture dictionary.
- relaxed at home...Dan and Ev napped and I surrounded myself with some of Jodi Picoult's fiction.
- went to the base nearest our house to work out. Dan hit up the gym while I rocked the sidewalks with you-know-who in the stroller and the other you-know-who on the leash.
- spent time on the couch as a fam. Dan read out loud to Ev from one of his books he checked out. The subject of the book is real estate and Ev sat, either extremely captivated or extremely disinterested in learning about LLCs. I do know she appreciated being read to, though, and probably enjoyed hearing something other than the tales of Christopher Robin and Pooh-bear.
- used our oven with some success! We made cookies. Well, Pillsbury made nine pre-made cookies and six made it into the stove. I was only planning on eating two but Dan said I might as well eat the third so one whole row was gone and he could space the rest of the cookies out evenly.

I made an account at Good Reads yesterday to help keep track of one of my goals (resolutions, if you prefer that term) for 2011. I do intend on sharing my 2011 goals with you and maybe I'll share Dan's too, if he feels like sharing. I'll get around to it -- hopefully this next week.
