We're housing the Geico gecko.

Excuse the blurriness of the little creature but I didn't want to get too close to him lest he jump from the counter right onto my face. I was puttering around downstairs last night before bed when I saw something near our kitchen sink that isn't usually there...

...this little gecko / lizard. Grandma has been on the look out for him since I told her that we have a guest staying with us but she hasn't seen him yet. Who knows, maybe he saw himself out! That'd be nice. The last little lizard we had in the house I had to chase out with a broom.

At least I think I chased him out. I couldn't find him once I returned to the room with a broom to herd him around so he either made his way out the open door or the little dude featured above is the same one.

I'd much rather have a geico / lizard in our house any day over a spider or anything else creepy crawly. I think Dan would rather have a spider. Y-U-C-K!

  1. Those things were all over in Kenya too. Don't worry - they're harmless :) WAY better than a snake!!!
