Evelyn hit a big milestone yesterday: the last little piece of what connected her to me for nine months and kept her well nourished finally came off.
Her new belly button is much better looking. We're still using alcohol wipes on it for a little bit longer but she's umbilical cord free! No longer do we have to worry about her diaper chafing it.
What a nice little birthday gift to Dan, huh? Even better yet he wasn't changing the diaper when it was discovered it had fallen off! I gave him a diaper-free day for his birthday to help celebrate. :)
