Home tour: first floor.

Dan spent much of Saturday cleaning our house. He did so much work and the floors nearly sparkled when he was done. They probably would sparkle if they weren't so old and worn - that's how thorough he was! Just thinking of all the work he did makes me tired.

I decided to get some pictures taken Saturday night so we can continue the home tour that I promised several weeks ago. Without further waiting, here we go!

The photo above shows our entry way. The wooden cabinet is our little shoe cabinet. The door you see is one of the two sliding doors that allow you entrance to our home.

As soon as you walk and turn the little corner that sections off our entryway you can see the kitchen. If you were to walk straight back to our office (featured later), the kitchen would be on your right and the living spaces would be on your left (dining room and living room).

This is the view from our office. If you were to walk toward the entryway from here (which is at the end of the room and behind the wall, to the right), you'd have the living spaces on the right and the kitchen on the left. You can see our stairs that lead to the bedrooms.

Here is our living room from near the office / stairs / laundry room area, complete with two fabulous looking models. :) Behind the chair and sofa you can see our dining room table, complete with the great table cloth that Dan's aunts and Grandma gave us!

Our dining room minus one end chair because I have it up in our bedroom for late night feeding sessions with Evelyn. Toby says "hi"! This was taken from in our kitchen.

Another shot of our living spaces from the corner of our kitchen, where our microwave stand sits.

Here is one wall in our office -- all cabinets! Very handy.

Here is our desk, chair, and corner of our bookshelf. This is taken from a corner of the office near the cabinets.

And there you have it, the first floor of our home! I decided not to take photos of the laundry area or the shower room because those aren't that exciting. I'm sorry about the quality of some of the photos -- sometimes they come out blurry when I don't use the flash.

  1. I don't believe this is Raech's and Dan's house, its so neat and clean. Maybe a model house they were taking a tour of. Ha Ha raceh.

  2. Eric - The cleanliness of the house is all Dan's work so that's probably why you don't believe me! I don't blame you for thinking it is a model house, if the cleaning were all up to me it definitely wouldn't look so good! I like to think I'm getting a little better, though.
