Evelyn formed an affinity for the original Monsters movie, "Monsters Inc", sometime this spring. When we'd do family movie night on Saturday evenings and would ask what she'd like to watch, it would often be Monsters Inc. She'd request it at other times, too.
I figured that "Monsters University" would be a good first movie, and I was excited to take her. She became somewhat obsessed (as toddlers are wont to do) with Monsters Inc, and now has three different Pez dispensers that have the characters' heads on them (Mike Wazowski, Sullivan, and Randall). She only had one little section of the Pez and I threw the rest away but she didn't even know the difference. She thinks those darn Pez dispensers are the bees knees and has brought them many places -- to the pool, to the beach, along for rides in the car - you name it.
Not only does she have her silly Pez dispensers but she repeatedly asked to go to the movie theater to see "Monsters" again. We did not go back but instead tried to explain how we can watch it again when it comes out on DVD. When our friend Jackie was here, Evelyn was playing Monsters Inc and assigned us roles. Evelyn was Mike, and I was the next person to be graced with a role.

Evelyn really got into role-playing and soon enough, I did not get a "Mom" at the beginning or end of a sentence, or question. In fact one time she was starting to tell me something and to get my attention she began with "Mom" but cut herself off and instead called me by my new name...Randall.
So if anyone needs me, I'll answer to both Raechel and Randall.
