A playdate at Torii beach.

Two weeks ago, I went to Torii Station to sign up for the Mardi Gras 5k they are having this upcoming Saturday. I also coordinated the trip with a fellow Stroller Warrior because she was giving me her half marathon bib so I could switch with another Stroller Warrior. I had previously sold my half bib on Monday after yoga, so when someone was looking to switch, I was bib-less. Stroller Warrior #1 had injured her back so she was unable to compete, so she very kindly gave me her bib so I could switch with SW #2 and run the 10k.

After signing up for the 5k and completing the bib switcheroo, I decided to go down to Torii beach. It is one of my favorite beaches -- it is secluded, and there is tons of sea glass. (I find combing the beaches for sea glass to be very relaxing. Dan thinks I'm weird, ha.) Evelyn was feeling kind of yucky -- congested and just generally sicky-icky, but we still spent some time outdoors anyway.

Here are some pictures from that day. The quality is poor because I took them on my iTouch.

PS. Happy Valentine's Day to our friends & family (plus other readers) in the States! We had a great day yesterday -- the weather was beautiful (70*F), and we enjoyed each other's company. I took some pictures of Evelyn yesterday at the park that I hope to post soon.
