Margaritaville - here we come!

Okay - it is not what you think. I'm not actually going to a Margaritaville event, although I do believe they have had "Margaritaville" events before. If I recall correctly, I remember seeing photos of my boot camp instructor at one with her husband sometime within the past year.

So what is this Margaritaville that I speak of, if it isn't the Margaritaville? It is an event put on by the Army MWR (Morale-Welfare-Recreation) here on island. It is a Margaritaville 5k - complete with tshirts (my favorite), margarita glasses (a good addition to our kitchen, as we don't have one), and prizes.

I'm not planning on winning any prizes as my running has went out the window since Dan came home. We have went on a run together and I went once at night (without a stroller for the first time in 7+ months) but other than that, I've been laying pretty low. I get heat sick (throwing up ... lovely) and since I've began running, I discovered that my exercise-induced asthma never really did go away. I simply just didn't exert myself in ways that made it hard for me to breathe. So those two things have kept me laying low and not out and about much. More about that in another post.

We are still waiting to learn if it is rain or shine - I really hope it is, because I am excited about this. Apparently on some parts of the island it is raining, although it isn't at our house. Hopefully if it does rain today, it gets it over with before registration.

This will be a stroller-free race for Jess and I because Dan has agreed to watch both kiddos for us. Thank you, Dan! I'll be back with a recap later on - and pictures, of course. We are bringing our camera but there will be quite a few other Stroller Warriors with cameras and we'll get some group shops, I'm sure.

Anyhoo - Jimmy Buffet-anything reminds me of my Dad, so I hope he is reading this. He and my step-mom are Jimmy Buffet fanatics. So hey guys, I'll be thinking of you while we run this. :)
