Broken.

Sorry for the hiatus, readers. My Mac began doing some funky things when I tried booting it up earlier this week and then I was faced with the "gray screen of death". It made a whirring noise, as if it was trying really hard to get all its parts in order to boot up, but then would just give me the gray screen. After shutting. It off nd turning it on a few times it changed to the gray screen plus a folder with a flashing question mark in it. I took it into the computer doctor on the air base and I needed a new hard drive. I was thinking this would be über expensive so I started dreaming of a new, shinier Mac. I even went upstairs and looked at the different ones that they had on display. To my surprise, it wasn't as expensive as I was anticipating, so I opted to have a new hard drive installed. He is going to try to recover my pictures because that is truly all I care about. Sure, some documents on there would be nice for my final that is due before I leave for the States, but I will make due. Thankfully we have an external hard drive that has all of Evelyn's pictures on there. Unfortunately I hadn't put any other photos on there...pictures from the times I had flown to California to see Dan, pictures of Toby and Dally, and more. He made it sound like it was a good possibility he'd be able to get the pictures off the old hard drive. If he is, I am putting them on the external drive ASAP! So until I get my computer back, I will continue to be absent here. I need to buy a new memory card reader so I can share tons of pictures. Pictures from Evelyn's 12 month photoshoot, her birthday party when Dan was home and her party on her actual birthday, some from Thanksgiving, and more. Hang tight, I'll be back soon. :)
