Dan's plane got in early yesterday morning and we were able to pick him up by noon. We checked the mail, ate Subway for lunch, and then drove home. We had a low-key afternoon and just hung around the house. A bit later we went to base to rent a movie (Bridesmaids, my choice).
While I made supper (spaghetti -- Dan and Evelyn's fave) Dan played some tunes on his guitar. Evelyn was mesmerized.
Maybe I should get a video of him playing guitar for the times when I really need to get something done (like cook, or clean the bathroom) though I don't think watching it on a computer would be as great as watching it live. She loves watching her Dada play; he even let her strum / bang on the guitar afterward.
Thank you for the advice and experiences regarding a bike trailer or a seat! I think we've decided on a bike trailer; I've seen some online (InStep makes one) that break down / fold like a jogging stroller, so that'd be nice and could easily go on the bike rack with the bikes. I can only hope the BX has one like that in stock. I'm excited to buy her her own little helmet. :)
