Always learning.

Evelyn has had a really busy week learning new things. I was super excited to share with all of the blogosphere but wanted to tell Daniel first, naturally. I was able to talk to him this morning so now I can share all the cool new things that our little Schmoop has learned to do just this week.

This week she learned not only how to climb the stairs and blow bubbles in the bathtub but she also learned how to high-five.

She's also perfecting her "cheese" face and waving upon my request. She's pretty good at doing her "cheese" face and will do that quite often even when I don't ask her to. Previously she would wave at random times, especially when playing with her talking / singing CD player, but she's grasping the concept of waving when I ask her to. She waved to her Dada this morning on Skype (without me aiding her) and he saw it. That was a first.

She's such a smart cookie. :) I feel like there was one or more two new things she has learned this week alone but they elude me.

Oh, one more thing ...

Making a mess isn't a new thing, she's a skilled mess-maker! She seems to have recently figured out that practice makes perfect. Today she took most of the dishcloths and washcloths out of the drawer and was disappointed to find that I tied up the cupboard that holds our canned goods. Too bad for her, she can't pull them out one by one and marvel at the "thunk" noise they make when they hit the floor.

Just kidding, one more thing -- not related to Evelyn directly. A couple loved ones have noticed the voting button (for Top Baby Blogs) is missing as are the buttons on the left sidebar. I decided to give the blog a little facelift but didn't get any farther than removing the buttons before I had to go off and do something. So if you've noticed they are gone, I'm sorry about that -- they'll be back up in a timely fashion. At least that's my goal.
