Scenes from the aquarium.

Last Saturday the girls had a day out while Dan stayed home to prepare for a meritorious board he was on (he won, by the way). We went to the Churaumi Aquarium up past Nago.

Okinawa's aquarium is one of the few in the world that has whale sharks in captivity. They were huge! We looked at two exhibits that weren't in the main building -- the dolphins & turtles. They also had manatees (sea cows - awww) but I forgot to lather Evelyn up in sunscreen so we just decided to go home.

Here are several pictures from the day. Some are straight from the camera whereas others have an Instagram filter applied.

It was a great time and thankfully she slept on the (long) drive there and back. Mom also bought her a turtle stuffed animal that she thinks is the bee's knees.

She didn't pay too much attention to the various sea life, she was too busy checking out our fellow observers. It will be fun to bring her back when she's 1.5-2 years old. We could probably sit in the whale shark auditorium and watch them for hours. Better than sitting in a movie theater!
