The past week.

My Momma has been here a week & a half but I haven't blogged much about it. We have been too busy doing fun stuff together. Evelyn thinks her Grandma is the bomb.com and the feeling is mutual.
We came home to them watching Sesame Street.

This morning Dan saw a ginormo spider in the entryway; it sort of blended in with the tile. He didn't see it until his foot was near it and he isn't sure if it bit him or not. Cue me freaking out. He's going to call medical to be told what to do but ahhhh. That is the second big spider in the house since Evelyn has been born. It was probably two inches wide including its leg span but its body wasn't as monstrous. Ugh I feel like I have them crawling all over me now.

This weekend we decided to start looking for another car. We desperately need to get the Honda fixed but the dealership we bought from doesn't do loaner cars anymore. That would be fine if he didn't take an absurd amount of time to fix an issue. For example in the fall when something was wrong with our coolant system, it took over a month.
Do you see what I see? (Hint: Look at the ear.)

After the break sensor light came on, quite a few things stopped working such as: the A/C, power locks, alert noise when you leave the lights on, and the intermediate setting on our wipers doesn't work. Not to mention we're still missing a back window which needs to be fixed.

We looked on Okinawa Yardsales some but when Dan went to the gym this weekend he stopped by the "For Sale" lot near the BX. He saw one car that was within our budget and met his specifications (he wanted a small car, I didn't care).
She's practicing yoga already - I should take a lead from her.

We took said car for a test drive on Sunday afternoon and  ...

PARDON THE INTERUPTION but our baby is working on going from a sitting position onto one knee. She's working on getting into the crawling position -- ahh, excitement!
It looks a little like this.

...anyway, I go to base legal on Wednesday to sign the title over and pay Jimbo (his real name is James but Jimbo was on the flyer) for it. It is a cute little Silver Nissan March Rumba. I'll continue to drive the Honda since it is safter for Evelyn to be in for an accident but I can't say I'm not excited to zip around in the little car every once in awhile.

Last weekend we went to the beach, as I mentioned in a previous entry. That same morning we were able to Skype with Dan's sister and his Dad for a little while. That was nice -- Evelyn was being such a ham.

We also installed the new carseat, the Britax Roundabout 55. She looks like such a big girl in her new seat. I really appreciate how much more user-friendly it is than our infant seat. The only downside is there is no handle to attach her toys to. That's a very minimal issue, obv.
Cool hat, girlfriend.

In other excited baby product news, I ordered my new jogging stroller! The BoB we were given ended up getting mold on it because I left it out under the carport and it got rained on. It all worked out because our BoB was a fixed wheel and for the sidewalks around here it would be very beneficial to have a swivel wheel with a locking option. We went with the Schwinn Free Wheeler. Amazon said it should be here around June 11 and I can't wait - I'm so excited. How nerdy of me, right?

Sometime soon-ish I'll share pictures from Dan's time on mainland -- he got a lot of nice good ones. I'm especially excited to share the nice shot he got of Mount Fuji and some pictures from the Imperial Palace.

Right now though there is someone rolling around on the floor that needs her diaper changed somethin' fierce. Eek!

Happy Tuesday / Wednesday, everyone!
