Okinawa is waiting to see what, if anything, tropical storm "Aere" will bring to its shores. If family or friends are interested in keeping up to date with the storm's progress, you can go to Kadena AFB's weather site. The information regarding the storm will be on the left-hand side, where it says "TCIR", "Current TCCOR", and so on.
We live high up on a hill, miles from any beach, so the only thing that could harm our house is flying debris. The power could get knocked out (as it did for a 1/2 day during the last typhoon) but it isn't anything to be too concerned about. We have supplies on hand if the power does go out.
In non-storm news: I misplaced my memory card (so no decent pictures, only cam pics for now), sprained my ankle, and a stupid light came on on our dashboard so I had to take the car in. I should really get to reading my chapter(s) though so I'll just leave it at that.
