We're already on the downward slide of the work week -- yay! On Monday Dan was able to leave his class early but hasn't been so lucky the past two nights. He's taking a medical-related class with a group of guys that he usually works with. Much of the class is a refresher for Dan as he's already went through an extensive med class.
Learning what to do in a medical emergency appeals to me but the actually practicing part? And bring practiced on? Nooo thank you. I'll stick to my piddly first aid and CPR certifications.
This week is a big week for us personally. Yesterday we celebrated our first wedding anniversary; I can't believe we're already into our second year of marriage. We were planning on finding a place off base to eat but in the end I suggested Mac Grill because it was getting late. I wanted to be surrounded by Americans if Ev was fussy because while I know a fussy baby can grate on your nerves while you are trying to enjoy a nice meal, I felt more at ease with Americns being mad at me rather than Japanese folk. Does that make any sense? Plus I'm not sure how the majority of Japanese individuals feel about nursing in public...
We enjoyed our time out and talked about memories from our wedding day. Like how I had to fly back to Minnesota that same night so I could be to work the next day. How it was almost a little easier leaving that time because I knew I'd be coming back for good in a month but also how it was hard because we didn't feel like I should've had to leave in the first place.
Another exciting day for our family is on Friday, when our lil' pumpkin is officially four months old. Look'it how cute she is:
The rest of the week s downhill from here! We haven't solidified any plans for the weekend beyond the weekly haircut but we're playing with the idea of going exploring and enjoying something new together as a family as a continuation of celebrating our anniversary.
Happy hump day to you, family & friends. I hope the last part of your work week is just as good as the first part. Heck, I hope it is even better since Friday is in sight.
