Success with the Moby wrap!

A couple weeks ago I ordered a Moby Wrap off of Amazon* because I've read lots of great reviews from fellow bloggers. It arrived while my Grandparents were here and I have to admit that the first time I put Evelyn in it I quickly took her out because I wasn't sure I followed the directions correctly.

Tonight I had Dan double check my direction-reading skills to make sure we didn't have Evelyn slip out onto the floor and we had success! In fact I'm wearing her as I type this. She gets the satisfaction of being held (baby loves to be held) and I get the satisfaction of being able to hold her but also of having my hands free for doing other things. Like blogging, of course!

We also have a Baby Bjorn that Dan really likes. Now that we have two baby wearing devices we don't have to constantly adjust the Bjorn between our vast height differences. I also entered The Heir to Blair's Ergo giveaway though with 575+ entries my chances of winning it are quite slim.

*Amazon - who knew or read about the problematic situation they found themselves in with the man who printed the How-To book about being a pedophile? Amazon's statement was something along the lines of, "People have a right to print what they want, blah blah blah" and didn't remove the book from their stock even though many people said they would boycott buying from them.

Frankly I think the book is disgusting and considered boycotting the company but I do see their point about having the freedom to print what you want. I think it was an E-book ... I didn't look too much into it. Anyway. Since I ordered the Moby wrap from Amazon it is obvious that I have not boycotted Amazon. They make it really handy for getting items over to FPO / APO addresses.

The whole reason I put an asterisk behind Amazon in my initial paragraph was because I saw a headline today on CNN that said the pedophile-book author was arrested. I didn't read the article so I'm not sure why but it made me think of the whole Amazon debacle.

This lady gives the Moby wrap two thumbs up so far and we've only tried one hold -- the cradle hold. I look forward to trying more holds with Evelyn to see what we both like the most. If you "wear" your baby, what sling / carrier do you prefer?
